Close up of Command Post’s Reversible Feed Sniper

2012-10-6-sniper-close-up-1989-march-agp-reversible-feed-sniper

I’m still looking for early Sniper 1 serial number pictures. Under 20 or under 10?

On the same topic, here is a close up scan of the Sniper 1 featured in the Command Post ad posted yesterday.

Looking at this close up, the feedneck does not look like standard early sniper 1 welded on feedneck. The give away is the notch out of the body going all the way through.

This notch means this Sniper 1 used the same type of reversible feedneck on the Top Gun Sniper 1 posted last week.

I asked Tim Ellwood, business partner in the Command Post, about this Sniper 1 and he wrote me:

”I remember those Bud Orr’s were some of the very first one’s made. We were kinnda the ”Big Dog” and everyone sent us early stuff so we would put it in the catalog.”

I will be writing back to Tim and asking if he remembers if this Sniper 1 was serialized.
If anyone else has any early sniper 1 serial numbers (#1 to ~#20) or entire gun pictures please send them to me.
